先简要介绍变分法和临界点理论的历史。 然后通俗介绍临界点理论在某些重要的PDE方面的应用，包括对称扰动方程和Rabinowitz公开问题、Brezis-Nirenberg临界指数方程、Li-Lin公开问题、Bose-Einstein凝聚与Sirakov猜想、Lane-Emden方程解的分类、Schrodinger方程的正规化解等。 同时介绍一些没有解决的重要问题。
讲座人简介：
邹文明，清华大学教授，博士生导师。清华大学数学科学系系主任、中国数学会常务理事、国家杰出青年基金获得者、教育部数学专业教指委委员，荣获政府特殊津贴，曾任清华大学基础数学研究所所长。目前担任国际SCI刊物 《中国科学-数学》、《Minimax Theory and its Application》和《Advances in Nonlinear Analysis》 编委。研究领域主要包括变分与拓扑方法、偏微分方程、Hamiltonian 系统、非线性分析等。在美国Springer-New York出版英文专著二部，发表SCI论文120余篇，MathSciNet显示文章被引用2500次。

杨健夫，江西师范大学教授，博士生导师。现为《数学物理学报》常务编委，江西省人民政府学科评议专家，江西省数学会理事长，国家科学技术进步奖评审专家，国家基金通讯评审专家，科技部国际合作项目通讯评审专家。1993年起享受国务院特殊津贴，1998年获国家有突出贡献中青年专家称号。先后参加和主持国家科技部重大基础研究前期研究专项，国家自然科学基金重点项目，国家自然科学基金项目的研究。在国内外学术刊物上发表近100篇学术论文。多次应邀赴加拿大、澳大利亚、意大利、瑞典、芬兰、巴西、智利和香港地区的高等院校访问，进行学术交流。
讲座题目3：Ground state solutions of planar Schrodinger-Poisson systems with potential well and lack of symmetry

In this talk, we are concerned with planar Schrodinger-Poisson systems with nonlinearities having either subcritical or critical exponential growth in the sense of Trudinger-Moser. A feature of this work is that neither the finite steep potential nor the reaction satisfies any symmetry or periodicity hypotheses. The analysis developed in this paper seems to be the first attempt in the study of planar Schrodinger-Poisson systems with lack of symmetry. This is a joint work with Zhisu Liu and Vicenctiu D. Ruadulescu.
讲座人简介：
张建军，重庆交通大学教授、清华大学博士，美国数学评论《Mathematics Review》评论员，南开大学陈省身数学研究所、巴西帕拉伊巴联邦大学、意大利因苏布里亚大学博士后。主持多项国家自然科学基金、意大利伦巴第研究员基金（GLOCAL ERC）、中国博士后科学基金，多项国家自然科学基金等。研究领域主要包括非线分析中的变分与拓扑方法，非线性椭圆方程等，迄今已在包括Comm. PDE, J. Diff. Eqs, J. London Math. Soc., Nonlinearity等刊物上发表SCI论文40余篇，其中ESI高被引论文4篇。
